Low Sugar, High Protein Açai Bowl with Superfoodio

Think of açai like an avocado. That’s what we always say when trying to explain açai to someone new.

It’s neither sweet, nor savoury, there is no overwhelming taste, it’s kind of earthy, some say it has a hint of cacao. But honestly, eating PURE açai is there to be explored – it’s one of the most versatile ingredients so we encourage you to experiment.

 

Here we have a low sugar and therefore, non-sweet, high protein and high fat (healthy fats) super-charged açai bowl. Enjoy!

Açai w/ Avocado & Superfoodio Clusters

 

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

200g Boa Vida Açai

1/4 ripe avocado

60ml oat m*lk

 

TOPPINGS:

Superfoodio Clusters: Cacao & Quinoa

Organic smooth peanut butter

Cacao nibs

Raspberries

Toasted Coconut Chips

Brazil nuts

 

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Take one açai pack from the freezer, run under the tap for 10 seconds and leave to thaw for 5 minutes
  2. Pour the oat milk into a blender then add the avocado and açai
  3. Blend. Stop. Beat the açai with a wooden spoon. Blend again. Repeat process until smooth and creamy
  4. Pour into a bowl and add toppings

Who are Superfoodio and why do we love them…

Superfoodio was born following a trip to South America which led its founders to unearth a wonderful array of local cuisine, both delicious and nutritious, containing some of the world’s finest super foods.

Being vegetarian and passionate about healthy eating, Nirali and Jagir found these foods made them feel great, optimised energy and provided sustenance for challenging expeditions – exploring the jungles of the Amazon, hiking on the Perito Moreno Glacier in southern Patagonia, to trekking the Inca Trail in Peru.

Inspired by what they’d discovered, they were driven to share it with others. Upon returning to London, they launched ‘Superfoodio’ – the perfect way to discover new, unique flavours and wholesome snacks made with fresh, natural ingredients.
